Qiu Shen
Associate Professor

I am now an Associate Professor at the School of Electronic Science and Technology, Nanjing University. I received a B.S. degree and a Ph.D. degree from University of Science and Technology of China. I am currently working with Prof. Xun Cao. My research interests include Visual Compression and Processing. For students who are interested in our research area, welcome to join us.

Projects

AI Compression
This project is focusing on deep learning based visual compression methods, including image, video, 3D and feature compression. We are also studying to turn the compression algorithms into chip designs. More details at /AIC and our group's github link is https://github.com/NJU-CITE-Compression.
Behavioral Analysis of Model Organisms
Behavioral Analysis of Model Organisms
The purpose of this project is to accurately analyze the behavior of model organisms, including nematodes, zebrafish, and mice, in order to provide support for life science experiments and applications. Technically, we focus on dense object detection, long-term multi object tracking, modeling of simple biological individuals, behavior judgment and prediction, etc.
MoCap and Humanoid
This project is focusing on exploring the fields of Virtual Reality and Embodied Intelligence, concentrating on the perception and animation of human motion. Our goal is to achieve the mapping of human actions to digital humans and humanoid robots. Specifically, this includes research on human motion capture algorithms, human motion retargeting algorithms, and humanoid robot animation algorithms.
